Hi, I’m Nate and when I’m not brewing beer, rebuilding my jeep or playing piano I can be found roasting coffee in the pacific northwest. I started backyard roasting in 2012 and have tried everything from frying pan to popcorn popper. The search for a perfect cup of espresso drove me to Buckman Coffee Co, where I now roast on professional machines…wow, so much easier and better.
Working with a west coast distributor, I’ve got some really great varieties and roasts I’m pretty excited to share with you. “Greens” from Peru, Tanzania and Democratic Republic of Congo.
I’m not a giant fan of high acidity so I usually go for the well balanced, medium light roast. I’m also not a giant fan of that chalky mouth feel some coffee’s leave…so I avoid those too.
Anyways, always happy to nerd out on coffee, jazz, beer, or bacon.
